|HERALDIC MUSEUM DUBLIN|
Heraldic museum is a part of National Library. The State Heraldic Museum has been linked with the Office of Arms since 1909 and the museum has been on this location since 1987. The exhibition is completely devoted to the Irish heraldry and once the use of heralds in military purposes became redundant you can see the more formal and decorative uses. Also anyone interested in finding out more about their Irish roots can do so through the National Library's consultancy services.
The State Heraldic Museum in Kildare St., was founded in 1909 and is one of the first and oldest museums in the world. Among its many exhibits are representations of corporate and civic arms and the heraldic banners of the Chiefs of the Name.
