The Tivoli Theatre Dublin

THE TIVOLI THEATRE

Since opening its doors in 1987, the Tivoli has become a premier theatre and entertainment venue. Converted from a classic cinema, the Tivoli now houses two flexible performance spaces; the Tivoli Theatre and the Tivoli Downstairs. The versatility of both spaces has helped the Tivoli to become one of Dublin’s best loved and most sought after theatres in Dublin.

The Tivoli Downstairs has been newly refurbished and now hosts Dublin’s unmissable Irish Music and dance show, The Irish House Party . The show was something of a revolt by irish musicians against the cheesy and the twee so you will find no flat caps, waistcoats or leprechauns at this performance. It is traditional Irish music at its very best performed by All Ireland champion musicians, dancers and entertaining presenters.

The Tivoli has been the host to many talents since opening it’s doors as a theatre in 1987 including; Dermot Morgan, Jerry Hall, Pat Shortt, John Kenny, Adele King (Twink), BRENDAN Gleeson, Simon Delaney, Brendon O’Carroll  Linda Martin, Mary McEvoy, the late Mick Lally, and such Oscar winners as Jeremy Irons, Jeffery Bush and Tom Conti. The Tivoli Downstairs has featured such acclaimed artists as Oasis, The Cranberries, Manic Street Preachers, The Beastie Boys, the Corona’s and comedian Bill Hicks.
